He is an 11-year-old boy in Grade 5. He is a sibling to Samantha Wairimu; both came as children needing care and protection. This was after their single mother passed on and the sickly grandmother could not provide for care.

St. Steven's Children's Home started in 2002 as a faith-based children's charitable Institution. It was the brainchild of Mrs. Esther Mwiti, a retired Nurse and Nutritionist.

The project is located in Timau Township, Meru Central District in Kenya's Eastern Province, East Africa. St. Steven's Children's Home is affiliated to Kids Alive Kenya a Faith  Led Organisation working to improve the lives of disadvantaged children. The Home's sponsorship is under Mt. Kenva Bible Baptist Mission Nanyuki.
