She is a Jovial 9 year old girl in Grade 4. She is sibling to Blessing Akinyi and Concepta Akoth. Their single mother ran off leaving them in a rented house with no one to provide care and protection.

St. Steven's Children's Home started in 2002 as a faith-based children's charitable Institution. It was the brainchild of Mrs. Esther Mwiti, a retired Nurse and Nutritionist.

The project is located in Timau Township, Meru Central District in Kenya's Eastern Province, East Africa. St. Steven's Children's Home is affiliated to Kids Alive Kenya a Faith  Led Organisation working to improve the lives of disadvantaged children. The Home's sponsorship is under Mt. Kenva Bible Baptist Mission Nanyuki.
